Hi, I was just wondering about the NUS Statistics course offered in the Faculty of Science and if it is a very difficult course as said by some of my relatives.

Furthermore i would like to know briefly what i can expect from the course, if it is very theoretical and dry, cos i have strong interest in it but is holding stalling my application because of this two main question in my mind.

In terms of level of difficulty, I'm not too sure, but I guess in university, every course will be difficult in its own way.

The NUS Stats course also has two specialisations - biostatistics & business statistics. So you will be learning about the application of stats in real life situations, whereas in A level stats, when we only learnt the theory of it and not so much of applications.

By the way, for NUS Science, from what I heard, you actually wont need to decide on your major until maybe the end of the first or second semester, so you even after you're admitted into NUS Science, you will still have time to try out some of the modules and decide on your major. Other related fields to consider may be a major in Maths / Applied Maths / Quantitative Finance.
