hi guys,

it may sound dumb but what is exactly the difference between aerospace engineering and aeronautical engineering? or are they the same?

I strongly suggest you read the modules offered by the institute! Most engineering disciplines fall are either mechanical-oriented or electrical-oriented.

I don't usually say this but... in my opinion, you shouldn't listen Kamlesh. Most institutes refer Aeronautical engineering to mean the mechanical side of aeroplanes and Aerospace engineering the electrical side.

The electrical side deals with the control of aeroplanes by using sensors and controllers. The auto-pilot system is made by them.

The mechanical side deals with how the aeroplane is structured and uses its energy. The structure is made by them.
