Post Applyinh a scholarship for overseas studies

Thank you for reading.

Does anyone has experience of applying a scholarship to study overseas?

Do you make sure you secure the overseas scholarship before applying for the overseas university OR do you secure a place in overseas university before applying for overseas scholarship?

For the former case, what if you get the scholarship but the school of your choice rejects you?

Looking to study abroad but worried about the costs? There are hundreds of scholarships available for international students looking to study abroad. Some are offered by government agencies, some by individual universities, and others by external funding organizations and charitable enterprises.

Searching for the right scholarship for you can be a major task. But we've done the hard work for you by collecting lists of scholarships for different groups of students.

Many of you will rely on some financial support to pay for your international education. For some, a scholarship could mean the difference between studying… and not studying. For others, it just helps with the cost of living, and also provides a bit extra to enjoy student life.

There are many scholarships available, and not all of them require you to prove you’re the most academically gifted person on earth. But they are incredibly competitive. So how do you make sure you get the scholarship or bursary you deserve?

Foreign Fulbright Student Program
The Fulbright Program are full scholarships in USA for international students who wants to pursue a Master’s or PhD degree. The scholarships can also be awarded for non-degree postgraduate studies. The grant covers tuition fee, textbooks, airfare, a living stipend, and health insurance.

Look beyond your university

You can find a complete list of scholarships on many websites, including those awarded by private foundations (such as a Fulbright Scholarship), or government bodies in the host country (such as the British Council) or your own country (such as the Department of Education). Check carefully to see if you’re eligible – many have nationality, course or age restrictions.
