I received an email about the tea party! It's on 16 May 2015 (this Saturday) at SBS. There are 2 sessions: 11am-1pm and 2.30-4.30pm. Did you receive any email regarding the tea party?

I also heard that there's going to be an open house this Saturday but I have not heard any further details. Does anyone know anything about it like venue and timing?
Check your junk mail! I found my email there haha. You need to register by 9th may actually but I think you can still try registering now!

Just to update our prospective juniors on the selection criteria for this program. The cut-off point for A' Levels is ABB/A and poly diploma is 3.7+ last year. There is most probably going to be an interview too as the selection committee interviewed all shortlisted applicants for this program last year. The intake for the upcoming batch is 30. Good luck and do feel free to post your questions regarding this program on this thread...

Hello may I know if you can choose to drop the second Chinese medicine degree halfway through the course and settle for a major instead? :/

Sorry for the late reply, but you can drop from a double degree to a single Biomedical sciences degree. Depending on how far you are into the programme, you may have to sacrifice some AUs though, and may end up taking another year to complete your single Biomedical Science degree (4, rather than 3 years). If you are not absolutely certain that you wish to be a physician, perhaps reconsider taking this course, as over the years, this course has become increasingly specialised to focus on training TCM physicians.
As a graduate of this programme who was always intending to go into research, I feel that perhaps I should have gone for a single degree in Bioscience and straight to PhD instead. As others have said before, strong ability in Chinese is essential to do well in this course, no dictionaries are allowed in exams. I aced my Chinese A levels, but still struggled with the ancient chinese literature that is a fundamental part of this course.
If you are interested in doing research on TCM, just take a BS degree instead, maybe take the TCM elective module, and work in Prof Tam's lab for Eureka or FYP. Sure, this course allows you to go into other paths than as a TCM physician but does it prepare you especially well for them? No. If you want to do research, choose a course that gives you research experience, rather than clinical experience.
