Lightbulb Question About Architecture Undergraduate Course

I am planning to take up undergraduate course in architecture.
1.I want to ask do all the schools require a portfolio of artwork? I am a science student so it is quite difficult for me to create the porfolio.
2.Moreover, what are the good architecture schools giving undergraduate programmes in US?
3.Which of them are giving financial aid to international students?

Pls answer my questions. Thanks a lot.

I have a science stream friend who's going Cooper Union (#1 architecture program) on a free ride.

I also want to know more abt archi in the US!!
I'm also a science student; don't have portfolio either...

heard that many uni began phasing out the B.Arch in favor of an MArch which means BArch is no longer open to new students. Btw. archi schools offer limited spaces, and even more limited to international students.
According to my research, U Texas at Austin, UMichgan, UPenn, Berkeley, UCLA(only accept transfer students), WashingtonU in St.Louis´╝î Univ of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign etc.are all v gd arci schools. Their admission requirements are also extremely stringent.
