Default Question about PSC and UK Universities for Males

Hi,

I was wondering how the application to UK universities will work as those offered the SGS can only pursue their studies after completing 2 years of NS. Given that UK unis allow for one year of deferment (max), how does the whole application process work out?

Thanks!

Very exceptionally, some universities may grant a two year deferment. It's entirely up to the university/ department.

If they don't, you re-apply in the next cycle (for deferred entry), or the cycle after that (for direct entry). Bear in mind that deferred offers are generally harder to get, so depending on what deferred offers you have, you might want to re-apply for direct entry, although each time you re-apply you give up all your offers in the previous cycle.

Scholarships predate the PSC as early as 1885 when outstanding students were awarded the Higher Scholarships to study at British universities. These scholarships were founded in 1885 by Sir Cecil Clementi Smith, the Governor of the then-Straits Settlements, in honour of Queen Victoria."
Before 1890, the Higher Scholarships were only awarded to boys. In 1891, the Higher Scholarships were opened to all British subjects regardless of their gender and was renamed the Queen’s Scholarship. Queen’s scholars could study at either Cambridge or Oxford colleges.

Brief introduction by Gilad Atzmon: The following is a very important and informative piece of writing by the ultra Zionist Mark Gardner (CST). Gardner is kind enough to tell us why the Zionist community was fearful of the Southampton University Conference. But he also reveals a devastating intellectual and political continuum between the UK ultra Zionists, the PSC (Palestinian Solidarity Campaign), the Jewish ‘anti’ Zionist campaigners and even Electronic Intifada. It was pretty astonishing and disappointing to find out that our ‘solidarity’ merchants (PSC, JVP, Electronic Intifada) ‘stood up’ for the conference and ‘academic freedom’ only when it became clear that the university cancelled the academic gathering. I will write an extensive analysis of Gardner’s article in a few days.
