Default University Scholars Programme

I received a letter from NUS in nov to apply into USP...can anyone share what this programme is about? Should i apply for it?

I received it too; together with NTU nanyang scholarship thingy.

If you're applying to local universities, then it may be good to apply as, according to the brochure, the USP will provide you with more opportunities to broaden your undergraduate experience.

hmm are u applying?

the programme seems quite interesting to me so i'm thinking of applying but i haven't got any idea what to write for the essay though.

Hmmm, if I were to apply, I'd write about how science and philosophy overlap in many areas.


No harm waiting for results and applying then too! Application will still be open.

really? the letter stated to apply by 20 something jan though (can't rmb).

i'm afraid if thats the case i wouldnt have time to write it cos of work...hmm.

they dont send these letters because you got so many A for a lvl. this yr's results aint even out yet. i got the usp letter last yr because i did my h3 phy at nus.

yeah, a-lvl grades not out yet. think they may have sent it because they once did a talk at my sch and maybe i gave them my address or sth? (can't rmb)

Take note that if you wanna study Law, Medicine or Dentistry, you cannot apply for USP because these faculties do not offer USP. Anyway you wont have that kind of time.
