> HOPEFUL:
It would be good if u could give ur full A'lvl scoring if u want us to give a better evaluation. If u are referring to NTU Biological Sciences, 2009 cutoff was BBC/C. I think it shouldn't be a problem getting in if u put the course as 1st choice, but still need ur full score to decide. Anyway, the COP is always getting higher. U may wanna look at the Uni's COP. Do take note that Lower 10percentile is not the final cutoff. just that if u fall within below that, u are on the edge. As for ur dilemma, im not too sure about engineering, but im pretty sure both NTU & NUS offers a bulk n variety of engin related courses. Look ard e other threads, or probably visit the open houses

> Samsara:
For ur case, based of UAS, u are really the borderline cases already, and honestly, the S in GP would present as a disadvantage. Would encourage u to submit a discretionary admission too

> Mona Lisa:
Ya la, study overseas expensive. I also dun wanna go overseas if i had the choice, dun wanna burden my parents (We ain't exactly very well-off to begin with)

For NUS i ain't really sure, haven't came to know of ppl with E for GP in FoS. However i know of someone who got around ur grades (E for GP too), who got into NTU biological sciences. But that was 2 years ago O.o Just dun be a hero and go put another course with an even higher cutoff and FoS/Biological sciences 2nd option.

NTU has a lower cutoff. And probably more international students prefer to apply to NUS

Yeah it is competitive when you have to tough it out with the geniuses from PRC.
