Default Please advise! :)

Hi all.

I'm really interested in taking law in NUS and I'm currently into my second year in JC.
I'm thinking if any seniors have any idea which admission criteria is the most important? (Interview, essay...)
And will CCA be given a heavy weightage during NUS's selection?
Lastly, will H3 Economics distinction/merit play a great role in differentiating myself and other potential peers?

Please let me know soon as I'm stucked in a dilemma, esp regarding dropping H3.
Many thanks in advance!

NUS bases your admission solely on your A-level grades. CCA plays no part unless you are applying through DA. A H3 doesnt put you in any sort of advantage for NUS admission. It definitely gives you an edge in scholarship applications though.

For NUS, 50% of the admission score is based on your results while the other 50% comes from the interview/written test.

IMO hold on to your H3 unless you do not have 100% confidence of securing 4 H2 As or if you are having trouble coping right now.

Thank you so so so much for the reply!
I'm just left with one question. In a dialogue with the NUS law dean, he mentioned that they will only select the top 800 students based on A'level grades for interviews/writing test. So hypothetically, what happens if the 800th and 801th students have the same score? How would NUS select?

I think they select around 800 students, not exactly 800 students? >.<

So any seniors out there doing the DDP for Law & MPP? what is it like?
Also can I still apply for it in the 2nd/3rd year if i want to?
I think its concurrent degree and not double degree.. correct me if im wrong.

There shouldn't be any disparity in terms of chances. You'll just compete with the class of 2011 A level grads for the places in NUS Law.
