I got the text message and email from NUS inviting me to attend the DA interview too. Um... except there is a problem: I don't remember filling in the DA portion on the application form! How is that possible???

Whoa. I thought I was the only one. I'm not sure if I should go for it though. It really makes me wonder how NUS selects its candidates.

Yup, so just to let you know, you're not alone. Furthermore, doesn't kill to just go for the interview. I have already gotten a placing in NTU SBS, but I'm going for NUS FOS since I'm given an opportunity.

Anyway, my jc tutor told me that the reason why you were selected for discretionary admission even though you didn't apply for it may be cos NUS FOS wants to accept you but your results may not meet the cut off which is why they are asking you to attend the interview. Think about it, its a high chance of getting in, go for it!

Good assumption! You're right! I plan to specialise in molecular and cell biology. All the best to us for our interviews! Let's hope we all get in!

Hi ijboy,

Life Sciences for me too! But I think I will be specializing in Environmental Biology later on. I hope we can do well.

Hi waffles,

Are you going for the FOS interview too?

@ijboy: best of luck to you too!

@akitmitsu: yep! I'm aiming for Life Sciences too! But I intend to specialize in biomed! (that is, if I can even do Life Sciences at all because I didn't take H2 Math, which is a prerequisite) All the best for your interview by the way!
