Post Bad A-Levels

Hi,

I'm currently studying A-Levels and I had a few queries about overseas admission. Due to some personal issues i have not been able to study for A levels and i forsee not so great grades. I did study but throughout the year due to some issues i have definitely lost focus and not managed to do well. Currently,i am still not doing well and it is really hard for me to focus even during exams. I'm largely sure that i can atleast pass all my exams E grade but ofcourse that doesnt get me anywhere in singapore. My current A-Level combination is Econs,Geog,Lit and h1 Math. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for overseas unis ? (not too exp, perhaps around $20,000) I've reasearched a few unis in netherlands and canda but it seems that they require atleast a C grade which im not sure i can produce. Also i was wondering if its too hard to get into universities like McGill in Canada. I know that the chances of me being considered are quite slim because usually those applying would atleast have Bs and Cs. Also could taking other examinations, SATs help ? retaking A levels is not a probable choice considering the fact that the syllabuses are changing and as a Arts student it is hard to find private institutes to attend (MDIS)

what is your major of choice in Uni? depending on major you need more than a C grade.

not too expensive as in sgd$20K in fees or fees+expenses a yr?
McGill fees varies from cad$20K to cad$45K a yr. Add living of cad$14K you are looking at cad$34K at least

min McGill grade requirement

MUN doesnt need As, Os will do. fees and living at cad$22K

This American Uni is under usd$20K

another under usd$23K

SAT doesn't do miracles, for canadian Uni you better off doing 2yrs of CC and transfer

NL Uni, if U not planning to read Sci major cost still EUR$16-20K a yr. still over sgd$20K

Hi, we've got similar subject combis and well, a similar situation. Just to ask, what are the courses you're interested in taking? Some courses in certain local unis require just a minimum of D for your H2 subs.
