Hahaha as to what's hot and what's not? I can't really say for sure. The usual I guess would be Communications, Banking & Finance, Social Science?

Default hot courses

the Chem and Bio Engineering courses are in great demand now, since Sg is moving in that direction of petrolchem and all.
TCM and Bio Sci has quite a following too, but its selection process is rigorous.

Accountancy and business are very established in NTU, so many who are looking at these options usu end up here

im at NTU too, btw. doing Art Design and Media.

hey Gloriole,

LaSalle's dishing out a degree course too, joining both NTU and NAFA.
however, our courses have diff focus.

for NAFA, its really more on fine arts side; painting, sculpture, even perf arts. you study mainly for fine arts, not the commercial arts like graphic design and product design etc.

for LaSalle, one of my fren's doing a degree course there. Its very specialised from the start, so you've to be sure of what you want to do. and usu people take the diploma course, im nt sure abt how their degree course is like.

for ADM, we focus on broad-based learning, esp in foundation year where you have to touch every major aspect of commercial arts, before you specialise in 2nd yr. we have to choose a major when we apply, but we're allowed ot change in 2nd yr so no worries on tt!
that's a distinguishing factor that we pride ourselves on, cos you really get to see everything and it helps you make an informed choice. for those who alr know what specialisation they want, it also opens up other areas for them, and they understand other industries better.
Also, being part of a recognised university in Sg helps: we can take electives from other faculties which are our interest (like i took lit) and we have the Uni's name as a form of recognition.

but yup where you go must be based on what you intend to do, and Nafa and LaSalle can provide the stuff you need in v specialised areas like, advertising or dance, or fashion design, which ADM doesnt have.

hope it helps! jus feel free to throw me any questions!
alternatively, visit ADM forum at:
http://forum.artdesignmedia.net

cheers!
