Default Renaissance Engineering Programme

Hi,
are anyone interested in this programme?
http://www.ntu.edu.sg/REP/Pages/default.aspx

he REP awards a dual-degree comprising Bachelor of Engineering Science degree (with specialization in a specific engineering discipline) and Master of Science in Technology Management in 4.5 years.

i am not too sure what career opportunities Bachelor of Engineering Science degree and Master of Science in Technology Management would entitle me to.

also, it is stated that:
With a SFR (student-to-faculty ratio) of 10:1, a competitive tuition fee of SGD18000, SGD216000 and SGD28800 with tuition grants will be charged for Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents and International students, respectively.

what does this means? is the SGD18000 stated before tuition grants or after? and is it per year or per semester?

Hi there!

Yep, I've currently been offered a place to read REP in 2013/14 (after NS).
Considering REP? ;D

hi splitfirz. I was considering REP, but I'm afraid they only accept straight As students (I was a JC student by the way). I got AAB/C with GP D and pw B. do you think I should give it a shot? and if you don't mind, do you mind sharing your result, be it GPA or A level result? so that I can gauge my chances. thanks a lot beforehand!!

Hi there!
I would strongly suggest you to give it a shot! If ur really interested in this Programme, why deprive yourself of an opportunity? U have got decent grades!
I think the interview is also very important. Prove your worth to the panel and you would stand a good chance!

I'm from a polytechnic btw. GPA: 3.993 if it helps

thanks blahblah!
the interview was pretty straight-forward.
I didn't encounter any technical questions of any kind. Standard questions like why you chose REP, what's your strengths & weaknesses etc..

Hey, is it possible to 'join' this REP after year 1? I wanted to sign up for this, but the talk that i attended during ntu open house really gave me a shock. "This REP is targeting the top 2% of the cohort... blah blah blah" It sounds like a very prestigious program to me and i didn't sign up for it in the end. Just wondering if im able to get in if i do exceptionally well for my year 1.
