Default Monash Medicine

Hi,

Anyone got shortlisted for Monash Medicine interviews yet? How are they like and what are the ISAT scores sufficient to get an interview?

Well my friend who's at Monash now went for an interview at some hotel in Singapore. It's basically a face-to-face interview, but i'm not sure about the details heh. basically the impression I get is that admission is very grades and ISAT-based.

My friend got above 90 btw. I can't rmb, I'll ask her abt it.

the interview was at hilton hotel. according to my friend its a typical med interview, about teamwork, interests, your achievements.... prepare for standard questions of course. there's also a detechnicalisation exercise during her interview, in which she was given something sciency and had to explain it in non-tech terms to the interviewer.

my friend's ISAT was in the low 90s, but she doesn't know the minimum score required.

Hey! When you mean low 90s what do you mean?

As in overall score over 100?

Or as in Percentile score given by them?

I think he means percentile. Anyway, i just got called for monash interview but my ISAT score is extremely mediocre. I only got like 40-something percent. I'm sure most people would have gotten higher percentiles than me. And this year it's also held at Hilton hotel.

Same here too. The interview is at the end of this month. All the best to you!

UMelb used to have a purely academic-based selection process. It was great for singaporeans to get into, but umelb is indeed know for its medical education. I think it was rated as the best in australia!

yea, but now for UMelb, it's only for graduate entry. I think it's a newly-implemented thing..
