Is it really 500k? A year cost about 40kAU, so thats 240K for 6 years. Add in living expenses, it comes to about 300K AU?

Estimated tuition fees is A$272160 for 6 years. For living expenses, we'll put it at A$20K to be safe. So its around A$392160 for the duration of 6 yrs. At the time, the exchange rate was A$1-> Sin$1.3, so it sums up till around Sin$500k. With the current exchange rate, I guess you just have to prepare around Sin$400k.

Hope that clarifies.

That is the raw cost to study medicine in Singapore if MOE and MOH did not subsidise the tuition fees.

Yea, I saw the NUS handbook. The raw cost is about 85K. 5 years would 425K. Take into account living expenses, Woops!!

It comes with a five year bond. For those going overseas, they just have to serve their parents :S

85K would be outdated I suppose. The letter i got from NUS last year showed that the cost is 97k per year. Same for medicine and dentistry. It is probably higher already this year, and will be higher again next year.

I just visited the website. It's over 100K already for AY08/09

Why is it so expensive locally and comparatively so much cheaper in Australia and UK?
