Help: NTU Early Admission Exercise 2012 > Nov-Dec 2011 (For JC Students)

Hi,

I am a JC2 student this year and I just received an invitation from NTU for the early admission & scholarships exercise 2012, which will commence from 15 nov - 15 dec 2011.

Just wondering, what exactly does the early admission exercise mean? Do the other local Unis (SMU/NUS) offer this as well? Does it mean applicants can secure a place prior to the release of the A Level results?

Also, according to NTU, only selected students are invited for this early application exercise. Anyone knows how students are actually selected? Is it via nomination by schools or?

Hey, I also received it...you applying? Early admissions exercise probably means that if they find you suitable for admission, they will offer you a placing in NTU in your applied course, conditional to you meeting the requirements for A levels and clear all necessary background checks (e.g. medical, disciplinary, etc.) just like any other normal applicant. Yes applicants can secure placing before A levels.

The school probably nominates students or they send our Prelim results over to NTU for them to choose at their discretion.

Some school along Bukit Timah . What about you? Oh so it's more like a conditional offer? I couldn't find much info through Google.

Still deliberating as to whether I should apply - my Prelim results aren't exactly great (though perhaps my portfolio can give it a little boost).

Any idea whether the other Unis have this too?

Haha fellow Bukit-Timahian! Dunno...maybe I will apply haha. Yup i think its conditional and this could possibly be the first year they are introducing such an exercise...Think we should just try...Prelim results are never good
